We are pleased to introduce you to Dee of DeegeeMarieGifts. Dee opened her shop on April 5, 2014. As Dee states on her about page "I've been making gifts for people as long as I can remember. I love to craft and create. My shop is full of the things that make gift giving fun! " ; you can see why her shop is successful with 100% positive 5 star rating from her customers.
Lets get to know her and her shop better.
What items do you sell?
Coffee cozies in three different sizes/styles, dog collar flowers, sensory toys. I always have more ideas then time.
How did you choose your shop name?
It's a play on my initials and a nickname from my husband.
|
The desk is made from a table we salvaged when we moved into our home. |
How did you get started with your craft?
I started crafting in high school, through sewing and art classes. I never thought of myself as artistic before that.
What is your favorite tool or craft supply to use for your products?
Fabric. Or buttons.
|
Some of my fabric. Just the neatly organized stuff. |
|
My father-in-law made this shelf years ago. It works perfectly for my buttons. |
Tell us about your shop – what made you open your shop and when did it happen?
I opened my shop at the urging of my daughter. I had been making Dog collar flowers for the Rescue she volunteers with.
What inspires you for your designs?
I love Disney, so I find a lot of inspiration there, otherwise, I really find it everywhere. Sometimes, I'll have so many ideas at once, I have to make a list to remember them all!
Do you have a favorite item from your shop?
Any of my Disney cup cozies. That's probably why I have so many listed.
What advice would you give to new sellers?
Besides the wealth of information in Etsy articles, Teams are such a great way to learn and help grow your shop. There are so many styles of teams, read through their topics, and see how often members post. Participating in team activities helps your business, and your relationship with other Etsy sellers.
What do you like or dislike about Etsy?
I love making Treasuries. The chance to showcase shops I love, or new shops, is so enjoyable. Nothing pleases me more than someone sending me a message saying "I just had my first sale, and I think it was from being in your Treasury." There are so many wonderful and talented people selling things here.
What are your goals regarding your shop for the near future?
My goals are always to improve the look and language of my shop and listings. I want people to easily find what they are looking for.

PRESENTED TO YOU BY OUR LEADER :
Hi I'm Amy. In my shop I offer a variety of crocheted items and occasionally I list vintage crochet & knitting pattern books. I enjoy working on custom orders. My customers often come up with the best creative ideas; and sometimes offer me the challenge of creating something I've never done before. It’s always satisfying to take a piece of yarn and create something new from it.
