Hi I'm Amy. In my shop I offer a variety of crocheted items and occasionally I list vintage crochet & knitting pattern books. I enjoy working on custom orders. My customers often come up with the best creative ideas; and sometimes offer me the challenge of creating something I've never done before. It’s always satisfying to take a piece of yarn and create something new from it.

Highlights of the first 500 clues of the SPST Scavenger Hunt!

In January 2014 the "Join the Scavenger Hunt" was created in the SPS Team Forum on Etsy. The rules of the game are simple : you must find an item that answers the clue given by the person above you in the thread. Once you have posted an item (not from your own shop), post a new clue for the next person to find.

Since the beginning of the Scavenger Hunt, we have given and answered over 660 clues!! And we're still counting!

Here is a friendly and non-exhaustive recap of the first 500 clues on the SPST Scavenger Hunt!

First of all, let's talk about the players! We have some very serious and awesome hunters out there!!

Here is a list of our Top Players!

☞ Lin from RhodyArt: 75 clues

Without a doubt our most dynamic player! With 75 clues answered and given, Lin is definitely our MVP. Lin knows how to find the coolest items out there, and isn't afraid to embrace her geeky side!

Some of Lin's best clues :
Fin an anti-valentine gift of card
Find something that turns your world upside down

☞ Victoria from TwigAndPetals: 40 clues

Victoria has a special talent to find awesome items, and never misses a chance to display her love for cute felted animals!

Some of Victoria's best clues:
Give me something that will chase away winter blues
Find something that starts with S and ends with S (inspired by our team acronyms :P)

☞ Patricia from NorthAndSouthShabby: 29 clues

Patricia knows how to choose intriguing clues and ever more interesting items to answer her teammates' requests for unusual items !

Some of Patricia's clues :
Find something that you would give to your best friend, because you know she/he loves it!
Turning clocks ahead tomorrow night. Find something you can do/use in that extra hour of daylight.

☞ Phyllis from RosyDaysScarves: 27 clues

Phyllis likes to choose clues that take us to our favorite places! She often finds the perfect clues to let everybody express their preferences, secret crushes and soft spots!

Some of Phyllis' best clues :
Find an item that reminds you of your favorite TV show
Find something related to The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings

☞ Natalie from HanjiNaty: 27 clues

Natalie usually chooses clues that invite us to reveal a little about ourselves, and that allow us to know more about the other players.

Some of Natalie's best clues:
Find something that represents one of your guilty pleasures
Find something beautiful related to your ugliest fear

☞ Zilvinas from Altphotos: 25 clues

Zilvinas has a great talent to choose fun and unusual clues that give nice challenges to the other players!

Some of Zilvinas' best clues :
Find something abstract and made out of clay
Find something superheroic

* * * * *

Talking about challenges, here are some of the most difficult, funny, unusual or deliciously twisted clues that we had to face in our Scavenger Hunt!! :D

Find an elegantly styled piece of jewelry that luckily did not go down with the Titanic
(Archaica from ArchaicStudio)

Find some repurposed 1980's multimedia
(Michelle from DonkeyAndTheUnicorn)

Find a return gift for someone who has played a prank on you on April's Fool :P
(Victoria from TwigAndPetals)

Find something JAZZ-related from a SPSTeam member
(Paula from TwinklingOfAnEye)

Find something with three hands
(Vanessa from BlueCopperDesigns)

What is something you want to no one knows about?
(Beth from PrettyByrdDesigns)

Find something that fits in with 1940s movies
(Lin from RhodyArt)

Here is a small selection of SPS Team members' items that have been discovered during our Scavenger Hunt!

Oct 29-31 Halloween Scavenger Hunt Treasury Blitz Winner

Halloween Scavenger Hunt Winning Shop Announced!

Congratulations to RosyDaysScarves for being the Winning Shop from our Halloween Scavenger Hunt . Let's learn more about Phyllis and her beautiful shop!

My name is Phyllis and I love working with gorgeous silks, painting and dyeing them. I mostly use silk dyes in cheerful, happy colors. My goal is always to create beautiful, very wearable scarves. I’m always exploring new dyeing and painting techniques. Such as batik, some tie-dye methods and serti, just to name a few. And, then it’s really fun to combine techniques to come up with something, hopefully entirely new.

I live with my husband and small dog in a beautiful area near Seattle; where nature is a constant source of inspiration. We have three grown children and four adorable grandchildren.

My other hobbies are crocheting, sewing, reading and making treasuries.

Visit RosyDaysScarves for beautiful hand painted silk scarves.
